Do not let your cat back into the house until the process is complete. If you fail to ignore this, your cat is high at risk for infection of this dreadful disease. You should always have your cat regularly checked for the virus. There are many similarities and differences between feline leukemia and human leukemia. Many people believe that humans can get leukemia from felines, this is very untrue. The methods of treating the leukemia is different as well. Some methods of treatment for humans are surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and biological therapy. Felines are not offered these methods, besides surgery.
